The Face Carpet Plaza is a deeper location accessible from Forest World.

Map of Face Carpet Plaza

Features

The Face Carpet Plaza is a fairly large plaza surrounded by spikes and filled with face-like carpets coming in blue and purple, resembling animal masks from either Aztec or African tribal cultures; one of the many examples of indigenous imagery in the game. The faces come in large and small sizes, and make an odd sound when stepped on. On the north and south sides of the plaza are pairs of green pillars, both of which will take Madotsuki to Forest World when walked through.

A lunatic Toriningen wandering the area traps Madotsuki in an isolated spot of the Neon Tile Path. Close to her, a Nenrikido can be found, which will take Madotsuki to Hell, taking her near the red Henkei Shita. This Nenrikido is fairly close to the Dark Woods and Docks B warps in Hell, so it is recommended for getting to these warps quickly.

  • The music in the Face Carpet Plaza was also different and was identical to the track used in Lamp World in previous versions.
    • The music was changed to the current track in version 0.09, although it was not slowed and was identical to the track used in the Hot Spring House. It was slowed in version 0.10.
