Mirrored Pathways is an area accessible from a door in The Ceiling.
Features
This area features multiple floating platforms and a monochrome color palette. The world's main mechanic is reversing gravity and the controls while inverted. However, Urotsuki can revert her gravity back to normal by interacting with the flowerpot northwest of the entrance from The Ceiling.
In the lower southeastern part of the map is a seemingly inaccessible warp. To reach it, equip a mask (such as the Shadow Lady or blue slime mask), or use the Fairy, Spacesuit, or Spring effect to cross the first gap from this side and interact with the edges of the platforms to hop across. Doing so leads to the arrow-shaped Teleport Rune that takes Urotsuki to Ticking Blackout Zone.
Directions
- The Nexus → Red Streetlight World → Bridged Swamp Islands → Cultivated Lands → The Ceiling → Mirrored Pathways
- The Nexus → Red Streetlight World → Bridged Swamp Islands → Heian Era Village → The Ceiling → Mirrored Pathways
If Variable #44 is equal to or greater than 237 (7% of the time):
- The Nexus → Portrait Purgatory → Ticking Blackout Zone → Mirrored Pathways
Trivia
- In version 0.123b patch 4, the menu became accessible while inverted, allowing effects to be equipped in this state. The controls are now reversed while inverted. The Spring effect used to send Urotsuki across all of the platforms when used, but it now sends her two platforms ahead. The volume of the hopping SFX was slightly lowered.
- Waking up while not inverted will cause Urotsuki to momentarily flip upside-down and reflect her default appearance.
