The Opal Archives is an area accessed through the center of the mushroom circle with the Fairy effect equipped in Twisted Thickets.
Features
The Opal Archives appears to be a library floating in the middle of a space of white panels, consisting of opal-tinted brick walls and a pathway decorated with light-blue carpets. There are a couple of people inhabiting the area, two of which are reading books. The Chainsaw effect cannot be used here, and attempting to do so will result in Urotsuki being stripped of the Effect.
The lower section of this area houses a set of statues of Chasers, including the Killer Lobsters that lurk the boundary between the Highway and Neon Highway. Further down the Archives, you can find sharply-dressed people here, whose heads appear to be invisible save for a floating masquerade mask.
The door to the right of the Shadow Lady sculpture leads you to a carpeted library. Taking the door after that takes you to a room filled with capybaras, a few of which appear to have a tangerine on their head. If you take the path east from the library, you'll find yet another door that leads you to a small room with a pink drink on a white and gold table. Interacting with it plays a jingle as it takes you to the similar-looking wine glass in Cocktail Lounge, unlocking the connection to there.
By going to the door beneath the sculpture area, you'll find a dressing room with red walls and a vanity mirror. Interacting with the vanity mirror makes the screen fade to black as Urotsuki is heard primping herself in front of the mirror, after which she is seen wearing a blue dress, a white, feathered masque and appears to have tied her hair into a bun, however in this state she cannot enter the door preceding the vanity room. Going to the right door, however, takes you to a ballroom where two of the masked couples are seen dancing. One of the masked people in a blue dress and the gold mask can be interacted with in this state, activating the Masked Dance event.
Masked Dance
If you have interacted with the woman in the blue dress, the screen will fade to black as a spotlight is soon shown of both her and Urotsuki in her new outfit, facing one another. Waltz music will then play as the two begin to dance together. Pressing X will conclude the dance as the screen fades out. This event can only be viewed once per entering the Opal Archives, and may be reset if the player wakes up or if the Eyeball Bomb effect is used.

Trivia
- Prior to 0.119h Patch 9, this was one of the deeper locations in the game alongside Tomb of Velleities and Lavender Waters with a depth of 15 worlds without any shortcuts. This was later shortened to a depth of 9, after the connection to Blooming Blue Lagoon was moved to Lamp Passage and Astronomical Gallery respectively.
- Prior to 0.119b, this area had a slightly different panorama.
