Glitch Hell is an erratic, glitchy world accessible from Ice Block World.

Map of Glitch Hell

Features

Glitch Hell is a large glitchy void made up of scrambled tilesets from other maps. The background of the world borrows from other maps as well, and will change at random. The maps the world pulls assets from include: Warzone, Pink Life World, Witch Heaven, Ice Block World, and even Bacteria World and Microbiome World at times.

While exploring the world, occasionally a text box with various "1"'s will appear. The screen will also randomly be covered in static. As time progresses, Urotsuki's name and status in the menu will also randomly change as well. Using the Crossing effect will change the music, though most NPCs seem to be unaffected by it. There are many different interactions here, such as:

  • the tileset randomly changing as Urotsuki explores
  • having 夢 randomly taken and used to purchase a snack from thin air
  • NPCs that bring up text boxes full of 1's
  • a wandering vending machine NPC that functions as expected
  • a spinning coffee cup that lets out a disturbing meow-like sound
  • a wandering white witch with unique text sounds
  • two deformed cat NPCs, one black and one white, both with a large red eye, that produce a drum-like sound and shake the screen
  • an NPC that changes the tileset to resemble Blood Red House
  • an NPC with a red and green tengu mask, also seen in the Alazan Domain, that teleports Urotsuki to a different spot on the map
  • a multicolored, shapeshifting NPC that brings up a text box offering a choice between 1's and 1's
  • a sentient tree, resembling those in the Forest of Strange Faces, that brings up a text box with unusually large 1's, then laughs at Urotsuki
  • a stationary NPC that pretends to take a lot of 夢 before forcing Urotsuki to equip (or unequip) the Spring effect

... and more.

There also several mosaic-like NPC Chasers inhabiting the area. They are slightly slower than the Bike effect. Getting caught by them will show the message "MAP ID NULL", and after that Urotsuki will obtain Menu Theme #52 and jump down into the hole in the Video Game Graveyard leading to Underground Burial Site.

After Menu Theme #52 has been obtained, a section of green tiles resembling "(^□^)" will allow access to Glitched Purgatory. This emoticon is also the original name of that area.

Trivia
