Yume Nikki: The Fourteenth Door (ゆめにっき ~十四番目の扉~) is a visual novel and add-on for Ranogetsukuru (ラノゲツクール), a visual novel app that allows users to create their own visual novel games with premade assets. Alongside original assets depicting characters and backgrounds seen in Yume Nikki, the add-on came with its own sample novel including these assets. The assets and sample novel were released on September 27th, 2017, and were advertised as free assets within the app.

Story

As the visual novel is not well-documented, the story of the sample novel is mostly unknown. Additionally, the official page for the visual novel on the RPG Maker website is listed as unavailable and does not appear to be archived, so most details about the novel can only be seen from news articles about the novel's release. A Famitsu article about the release of the assets states that "the story begins when a girl wanders into a world that looks like the inside of a broken TV, and characters she has met in the past suddenly appear before her".[1]

Some assets and backgrounds reveal which characters and locations may appear within the novel. Madotsuki, Poniko, Uboa, Masada, Monoe, Monoko, and Mars-san are all seen in promotional material, sometimes placed alongside various backgrounds. The Spaceship and Poniko's House are shown as possible backgrounds, alongside a background with multiple doors that may be the Nexus. Three other abstract backgrounds that don't appear to resemble any locations in Yume Nikki have also been shown.
