The Spaceship is a small deeper location consisting of the interior of a futuristic spaceship.

Layout of the Spaceship

Features

The Spaceship consists of several pale, ovoid rooms and strange, post-modern furniture, giving the area a futuristic atmosphere. The sole resident of the Spaceship Seccom Masada-sensei, who appears to be the ship's pilot. Meowing with the Cat effect while inside the Spaceship will cause the view from the windows to briefly scroll in the other direction.

When the ship is entered, Madotsuki will be greeted by a small vestibule with a large eye on the wall and two bumps in the ground. Heading right will lead to the main room, which will cause the vestibule to be replaced by a small room will a single bump and a large window. The main room is where Seccom Masada-sensei resides, accompanied by a table and two chairs, his organ, and a wide view of space. The organ can be used to play nine different notes, though Masada blocks one of them. Making him move out of the way with the Knife or Cat effects will grant access to the fourth note, which is out of tune.

The room east of the main one is a simple bedroom with only a bed and a window. Getting into the bed will slowly dim the lights over the course of 15 seconds. There is a 1/6 (~17%) chance that the lights will dim out completely, and an emergency alarm starts shortly afterwards. Getting out of bed reveals the Spaceship is crashing. A red alarm flashes along with the lights fading in and out, and the stars outside the window rush past the Spaceship, showing it is descending at an alarming rate. Heading into the main room will show Masada panicking. If Madotsuki stays in the main room for 15 seconds, a cutscene of the ship crashing onto Mars will play. An access ramp in the leftmost room will lower, allowing Madotsuki to explore the surface of the planet.

Due to an issue in the English Steam release of Yume Nikki, the dimming of the screen while in the bed and during the Spaceship Crash event is accidentally made transparent. This makes it so there are no visual changes once Madotsuki enters the bed. The event can instead of noticed by the blaring of the siren and the flashing red alarm.

Directions

Although there are five normal beds found throughout the dream world, which all lead to the Staircase of Hands and eventually the Spaceship, the shortest route starts by using the bed in Madotsuki's Dream Room.

If the Poop Hair effect has not yet been obtained, the bed in Candle World is recommended, as it is always guaranteed under this condition.

The other routes are still fairly short as the remaining beds are all found in Nexus worlds.

Trivia

Due to a bug, if Madotsuki sits down (by pressing the "1" key) just before the crash cutscene, she will have her head down when the sequence is over, and the game will softlock, as the player cannot get up, open the menu, or pinch awake. This bug also occurs when sitting down with the Long Hair and Blonde Hair effects.
- Using other effect actions before the cutscene plays will also disable the action until the player travels to another room of the Spaceship.
Using the Neon effect anywhere in the Spaceship will not tint the screen, although the sound that accompanies the Neon effect's action will still play. The Umbrella effect's rain wil also not darken the screen in this area. These are likely disabled because the screen tint changes do not effect Picture files, which are used for the Spaceship's walls.
The Spaceship's background music is made up of the same sound that plays when touching any of the flowers in the Crossover Garden.
The Mars BGM that fades in after the Spaceship Crash event is absent in the English Steam release.
