The Fake Apartments is an area accessible from a path in Blue Apartments or from a text event in Nefarious Chessboard. It can also be accessed from The Nexus by using the door to Urotsuki's Dream Apartments after entering The Nexus from the Realistic Flat in the Legacy Nexus.

Features

Entrance

The entrance to this area differs depending on where you came from. When entering from the door in The Nexus, you will arrive in the same bedroom as the one in Urotsuki's Dream Apartments. However, taking the door on the right will reveal an altered version of the upstairs floor, comprising the main area of the Fake Apartments.

When entering from Nefarious Chessboard, you will first be sent to the balcony of a fake version of Urotsuki's Room. Aside from numerous visual differences, neither of the bedroom's two doors open, though the bed can be slept in (to no effect) and the wardrobe can be opened. Interacting with the TV shows the regular dream version of Urotsuki's Room, except with an occupied bed. From the balcony, one can see the twin peaks replaced with three mountains, and walking up to the railing reveals a large goopy creature with a halo in the sky. After viewing this, the bedroom will now have a redder hue, an occupied bed and a non-functional TV. Interacting with the wardrobe will now send you to the bedroom of Urotsuki's Dream Apartments, with the door there leading to the main area of the Fake Apartments.

When entering from Blue Apartments, you will instead arrive in the main area after passing through a hallway, which contains potted plants and a large flower visible from the window. There is a hidden door on the left side of the hallway leading to a balcony, from which you can see a faceless Urotsuki sitting over the edge of an inverted balcony.

Main area

The main area begins with an altered version of the upstairs floor in Urotsuki's Dream Apartments. You will find a closet and two doors that no longer go to their destinations, and the door you came from will be locked. Continuing down the stairs will reveal an altered hall, which contains an open curtain and a door. By using the Glasses effect, you can see an eye standing in the doorway of the open curtain room. Interacting with the open curtain causes Urotsuki to make a refusal sound, but interacting a few times will allow you to enter it if you have visited the Legacy Nexus before. Inside is a Faceless Urotsuki, who acts as a chaser and will wake you up if touched. They are guarding a sparkling object that looks like the individual stars above the realistic bus stop in the Legacy Nexus. Collecting it will open the curtain on the right side. The area on the right is a small room with two beds and a bookshelf. A faceless Urotsuki wearing a Jester hat sits on the floor. By interacting with the NPC you will obtain the Jester mask and the NPC will become headless. The chaser from previous room will also become headless and a door appears between the two curtains. Entering the door will lead you back to The Nexus.

On the other end of the altered hall is a door that can be opened after walking up to it, then walking toward the open curtain, and then going back. The door will lead to a void filled with large signs and a door to The Nexus. If you use the door to The Nexus, you can immediately use the door behind Urotsuki to return to the Fake Apartments. Continuing left will place you in the Rotted Corridors of the Underground Subway, which contains a ghost of The Red Lady from Blood Red Beach. At the other end is either a flower or a red door (you can swap between them by passing the ghost while moving right and going back to the left end of the room). The flower is a one-way connection to Dice Swamp, which will lead to daytime Balloon Park. The red door will lead to a realistic room, which contains the ghost from the red corridor and a moving toy-like thing, like the one seen in the room behind the red door in the Legacy Nexus. A music box-like tune can be heard here. You can use the illuminated red door to return to the corridor, and if the doorway on the other end is not blocked by a large flower, walking into it will place you above the void in an isolated section of the Underground Subway's interior. To the right is an inaccessible gate, and walking to the left will return you to the red corridor with the connection to Dice Swamp.

If you circle around the toy inside the Realistic Room, you will trigger an event where the window will be replaced by a picture of a rose and the Red Lady ghost will be missing. After you exit through the illuminated door, the Red Lady will come from a door located at the bottom of the screen and exit through the top door as well. This will make Urotsuki to wake up on the floor. If you return to the Realistic Room and enter the bottom door, you will end up on a long corridor at the end of which sits the Red Lady. Interacting with her will make her disappear. By going back up, you will find a coffin with a rose on top of it and a door that will lead you back to Legacy Nexus.

• The Nexus → Urotsuki's Dream Apartments → Legacy Nexus (Realistic Flat event) → The Nexus → Fake Apartments

Trivia

• If you go back to the stairs after walking past the open curtain, you will briefly see the Faceless Urotsuki climbing up the steps.
• The Nexus and Nefarious Chessboard entrances send you to the actual bedroom of Urotsuki's Dream Apartments; the door there just connects to a different area. This lasts until you enter the main area of the Fake Apartments or wake up. Note that sleeping in the bed there will also cut off the connection.
  • If you throw a monster party while the connection is active and manage to flee, you will be safe in the Fake Apartments and not forced to wake up.
• The Jester mask can also be obtained by bringing the Horse mask from Motel Breeze to Sarah's bedroom in Blue Apartments, after which it can be permanently obtained there if you unlock the connection to TVLand.
• The speed of the Faceless Urotsuki chaser was greatly reduced in version 0.126e.
