Across the many locations within the dream world, there are 2 Effects, 2 Pseudo-Effects and 2 Items that Mikan can acquire, along with one effect available from the start.

Effects may alter Mikan's appearance, grant unique abilities for cosmetic or practical purposes, or affect interactions with certain elements throughout her dreams.

Items on the other hand don’t alter how Mikan looks, however they can also be used by her in practical ways.

Pseudo effects aren’t kept in the inventory, but can still have other properties of regular effects, like changing Mikan’s appearance for example.

Do keep in mind that Braingirl is a work in progress; as such, this page is subject to further changes across future versions.

Trivia

  • In the menu, Effects have a rhombus shape next to their name, while Items have a circle/dot instead. Notably, Instructions have a right arrow instead.
  • If you wake up while Marble Soda’s speed boost is still active, the speed boost will continue to be active for some time. This is most likely unintentional.
  • When Marble Soda’s speed boost wears off, the screen shakes a little to indicate that.
  • Marble Soda can be purchased multiple times.
  • Entry Ticket cannot be equipped in either the dream world or the real world, similarly to Yume 2kki’s Key.
  • All of the currently obtainable effects and items can be acquired in the Terminal Room if Debug Mode is on.
    • Pseudo-Effects are absent from it.
  • If Mikan tries to leave Hot Springs with the Swimsuit/Towel active, the pseudo-effects will be taken off and Mikan will have her default appearance.
  • If a pseudo-effect is active, then effects are disabled and can’t be equipped.
    • This seemingly does not apply to items, as Marble Soda can still be used.
