The Shadow Lady Estate is a mansion accessed through the northern path in Decrepit Village.
Features
Exterior
From the Decrepit Village, Urotsuki will arrive on a mossy brick road leading to the mansion. As it is raining here, the thick fog from the prior area will have eased.
Upon arriving at the Estate's front yard past the open fence, you'll be met with its exterior, built from dark brick and lined with many windows. Much of the front is covered in ivy and vines.
Standing guard above two of the windows are two gargoyles built in the likeness of the Shadow Bird chasers. Using effects that create loud noise, such as the Telephone or Drum effects, will cause them to stare at Urotsuki. Each time a noisy effect is used, there is a small chance they will jump down and chase Urotsuki, banishing her to the Attic of the estate if she is caught.
The front doors lead to the Interior of the mansion. The gargoyles will stare at Urotsuki as she enters.
Interior
This area begins with a large Victorian-Gothic foyer lit with sconces. Several Shadow Ladies can be seen walking around. Chainsawing any of the estate's residents will turn them insane. They will then send Urotsuki to the Attic if caught, much like the gargoyles outside.
Several of the rooms in the estate have lit fire places. Using the Teru Teru Bōzu effect anywhere in this area will extinguish them all.
Western side
To the west of the entrance is a sofa with a Shadow Lady on it. If Urotsuki sits on the couch and looks to the left, she will meet eyes with her.
The doors on the westernmost wall lead to the spacious Study. Here Shadow Ladies sit reading books at long tables. There are tall bookshelves and potted plants throughout, as well as a small sitting area with a lit fireplace.
The western wing also has a set of double doors leading to the Fainting Room. There is a small chance upon entering that a Shadow Lady will be resting on the couch and the fireplace lit. She will glare at you if you brandish the Chainsaw, but it is impossible to attack her.
South of the Fainting Room are two bedrooms. The one on the right has a cat named Tiger sitting on the bed who mewls when interacted with. Tiger does not react to any effects other than Crossing and Chainsaw. Attempting to chainsaw the cat will cause it to let out an angry meow, attracting the ire of a crazy Shadow Lady who will attack Urotsuki when she leaves the bedroom and wake her up.
There is a chance (determined by Variable #44) that a second cat named Gami will be laying on the bed next to Tiger.
Eastern wing
The doors on the eastern wall (to the player's right) lead to the Kitchen and Dining Room. The Kitchen has ornate wallpaper and cabinetry, as well as a sink that can be interacted with. To the south is a Dining Room. Here many guests sit quietly at a large dining table, but Urotsuki cannot join them, as only the chairs in the corner are interactable.
Also in the eastern wing is a set of double doors that leads to a sparsely furnished hallway with piano music playing. Continuing further left leads to the Piano Room, where the music is more audible. Here Urotsuki can sit on the fainting couch or interact with the barrier in the middle of the room, which causes the camera to pan over to a Shadow Lady playing the piano. Equipping the Chainsaw effect or using the Crossing effect will cause the piano-playing Shadow Lady to stop. The Chainsaw will make her angry until it is unequipped. With the Child, Fairy, Grave (while active), or Dice effect, you can go underneath the barriers to the left side of the room.
Below the set of double doors leading to the Piano Room are two bedrooms. The one on the left has a sleeping clone of Urotsuki curled up inside the closet, much like the Closet Madotsuki from Yume Nikki.
Southern wing
The southernmost set of double doors leads to a wide Living Room. The Shadow Ladies here send her to a unique trap location if chainsawed. Interacting with the closet on the top-right of this room leads to the Mannequin Maze.
The Mannequin Maze is a dark isometric area. Here Urotsuki must navigate around many wooden mannequins dressed as Shadow Ladies.
Points of interest along the path include a mannequin near the end of the first segment who stares at Urotsuki, a ghostly shadow lady with her back turned, a series of erratically placed windows, and a shadow lady on an isolated platform who refuses to look at Urotsuki.
At the very end of the maze is a construction sign next to an open closet. This closet leads to a Carpeted Room with blue- and purple-striped wallpaper, a flickering television, and giant plush toys. Several effects, when equipped, will make both dolls cover their eyes, namely Stretch, Grave, Chainsaw, and Marginal. The doorway at the north leads to a room with two faceless stuffed dinosaurs, one of which Urotsuki can sit on unless she is using the Bike. The dinosaur in the foreground appears to be clipping through the wall, though this is intentional, and cannot be sat on.
The final corridor leads to a flickering blue-screened television that creates a static noise that grows progressively louder as Urotsuki draws closer to it. Upon interaction, the screen goes black for some time as the sound of putting a tape into a VHS player is heard. Urotsuki reappears in a small room that has an overlay resembling a CRT TV screen and an exit blocked by a construction sign. Interacting with the television here will again make the screen go black, play the sound of a VHS tape being ejected, and transport you back the previous room.
Second Floor
Following up the stairs from the southern wing will lead Urotsuki to the second floor of the area. While significantly smaller than the first floor, there are a few points of interest.
Directly after entering, Urotsuki must ascend a staircase, leading to a more empty area with a large chandelier, vaguely resembling the being from Marijuana Goddess World. On the western side of the room, there is a construction sign, indicating that there may be more added to the area in a future update.
in the northern part of the room, there is a door leading to a room with a corpse in front of an unfinished painting. There is a large window in this room, showing a view of the night sky.
Interacting with the corpse grants Menu Theme #59.

Trivia
- The calico cat in one of the bedrooms, Tiger, was added by the request of a player whose cat had passed away prior to this area's implementation.
- Version 0.123b patch 4 fixed a bug about getting the Menu Theme #59 by an unintended way, but this made necessary to get the theme again for those who already got it.
