There are 16 proper effects in Ultra Violet (excluding the Instructions, 17 if the Dream Diary is included). Each effect is scattered throughout the dream world and collecting them acts as the primary objective of the game. Effects will change Sometsuki's appearance and may even offer gameplay benefits or get reactions from NPCs.

Rabbit
Memory of a dream of becoming a rabbit.
Appearance: Sometsuki grows a rabbit's ears and tail.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki transforms into a small, white rabbit.
Location: Can either be bought at Pastel World's Bunny Mart for 300 yen or found by interacting with the Bunny Siblings in Glass Pipe World.
Practical Uses: Once the action button is pressed, Sometsuki's movement speed is increased.
Nail Hammer
Memory of a dream of a nail hammer.
Appearance: Sometsuki carries a nail hammer.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki prepares her hammer as if about to strike.
Location: Found in the Armory by solving the world's puzzle to find Sometsuki's Clone in the locker.
Practical Uses: Can be used to kill NPCs (who may drop yen after being killed) or break the flimsy crates found in Old Storehouse World.
Cake
Memory of a dream of being a cake.
Appearance: Sometsuki transforms into a slice of cake with legs.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki sits down as the cake slice, hiding her legs.
Location: Given by a cake-headed NPC at the top of Dessert World's castle.
Practical Uses: Chasers will ignore Sometsuki if the action button is pressed.
Coat and Muffler
Memory of a dream of wearing a coat and muffler.
Appearance: Sometsuki wears a brown coat and scarf.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki's hair is tucked into the scarf she wears.
Location: Found in Pastel Block World, west of the entrance.
Practical Uses: Interacting with the small shikkenken in Snow World while this effect is equipped will cause them to don the coat and follow Sometsuki around.
Stained Glass
Memory of a dream of having a stained-glass body.
Appearance: Sometsuki's body becomes colorful, fragmented, and slightly transparent, resembling a stained glass window.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki shifts between the colors of the rainbow in order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet) before reverting back to her multicolored appearance.
Location: Given by a rainbow glass window after interacting with the seasonal windows in order in the Stained Glass World.
Practical Uses: Changes the background in Stained Glass World.
Magician
Memory of a dream of being a witch, flying with a broom.
Appearance: Sometsuki wears a blue cloak and her hair is done into braids.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki hops atop a floating broom.
Location: Given by the NPC found in the Floating Library.
Practical Uses: Once the action button is pressed, Sometsuki's movement speed is increased. The effect is required to experience the take off!!! event.
Sea Hare
Memory of a dream of being a sea hare.
Appearance: Sometsuki transforms into a purple sea hare.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki summons a pink cloud, making rain pour down. If she is underwater, then she simply makes a noise.
Location: Given by a purple sea hare in the Seabed.
Practical Uses: None.
Short Hair
Memory of a dream of having short hair.
Appearance: Sometsuki's hair is shortened.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki sits down or stands up.
Location: Found within a building in the Bloody Water Dungeon.
Practical Uses: None.
Headless
Memory of a dream of being headless.
Appearance: Sometsuki now lacks a head.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: A bloody bone sticks up from where Sometsuki's head was.
Location: Obtained from a bloody, beheaded torso found in Macabre World.
Practical Uses: Helps activate the Decapitating Fall event.
Street Lamp
Memory of a dream of having a street lamp for a head.
Appearance: Sometsuki's head turns into a street lamp.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: The lamp replacing Sometsuki's head turns on.
Location: Obtained from a short street lamp found in Streetlamp World.
Practical Uses: Once the action button is pressed, Sometsuki will be able to brighten dark areas.
Android
Memory of a dream of being an android.
Appearance: Sometsuki wears a futuristic outfit with small markings on her face, making her resemble a robot.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Given by a blue robot girl found at the Space Station.
Practical Uses: None.
Egg
Memory of a dream of being trapped in an eggshell.
Appearance: Sometsuki becomes trapped within an eggshell with only her feet and face sticking out.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki retracts her feet into the egg and the shell closes to make a full egg.
Location: Obtained from the only sealed egg in Pinkish Continent.
Practical Uses: Once the action button is pressed, Sometsuki will return to the Nexus.
Miko
Memory of a dream of wearing a shrine maiden's attire.
Appearance: Sometsuki wears a shrine maiden's outfit.
Passive Effect: Allows the use of two sets of decorated doors in the Shrine Labyrinth.
Action: Sometsuki waves a gohei in front of herself.
Location: Obtained by donating 1000 yen to the donation box found within the Shrine Labyrinth.
Practical Uses: None.
Shikkenken
Memory of a dream of being a one-legged Yuki-onna.
Appearance: Sometsuki turns into a shikkenken, a variant of the yuki-onna.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki can make snow fall and change how much falls.
Location: Given by a small shikkenken hopping around in Snow World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to change the amount of falling snow in Snow World.
Violin
Memory of a dream of playing a violin.
Appearance: Sometsuki holds a violin and bow.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki plays a few notes on the violin.
Location: Picked up on a stage in the Banquet Hall.
Practical Uses: None.
Ribbons
Memory of a dream of having ribbons on your hair.
Appearance: Sometsuki's hair is done into pigtails with purple ribbons decorating them.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: Sometsuki sits down or stands up.
Location: Obtained from a long-haired NPC found within a room in the FC Dungeon.
Practical Uses: None.
Dream Diary
Memory of a dream of writing a dream diary in a dream.
Appearance: Sometsuki pulls out a diary and begins writing in it.
Passive Effect: The player is able to save the game, wherever they are in the dream world.
Location: Bought at Pastel World's Bunny Mart for 1000 yen.
