The Monochrome Wastelands is an area accessible from the Escherian Passage in Monochrome Mansion.

Map of the Monochrome Wastelands.

Features

Monochrome Wastelands is a vast environment with otherworldly rock formations and odd pieces of architecture all around. Some points of interest here are three-eyed creatures with extremely long legs, multi-floor structures connected by ladders, as well as bizarre buildings with checkered platforms.

Southwest of the entrance of this world, you can find a passage that leads to Rough Ash World, which then unlocks access to this area from the opposite side.

Wandering the area are sun or moon-like NPCs with legs and a single other creature near a group of gazebos; they will flee if the Chainsaw effect is equipped and stop in response to the Crossing effect.

Trivia

  • The three-floored buildings are based on M. C. Escher's Belvedere.
