Oblique Hell is an area accessible from the train in Wooded Lakeside A and Critter Village.
Features
Oblique Hell is a large, red maze heavily resembling the Hell world from Yume Nikki. The pathways of the world have depths, giving the impression of a deep, black void below the maze, and the screen lightly flashes black while traversing the area.
Various Ninchiundō roam in several parts of the maze and will take Urotsuki to new areas when interacted with. On the western side of the maze, two of Ninchiundō can be found that will take Urotsuki to the Glowing Tree Path and the Streetlight Docks. A vending machine can be found near there, with the warp to Critter Village's Hexagonal Pillar Passage seen further north. On the southeastern side of the maze, another Ninchiundō can be found that will teleport Urotsuki to the Gnarled Tree Plaza in Wooded Lakeside B.
Two stairways can also be found at the northern and southern ends of the maze. The northern end has a headless, white body with a stairway to the White Lily Path before it. The southern end has a staircase leading to the Antiquated Bathhouse, which only appears under a specific condition. If the player's Variable #44 number has a remainder less than 5 after being divided by 28 (including 0), then the staircase will appear. However, if Urotsuki marks a position in the world using the Bat effect while Variable #44 is not in range, flying to that marked position will cause the staircase to disappear, even if she returns with Variable #44 in range.
Alternatively, there is a 1/256 chance that chainsawing the white statue near the White Lily Path stairs will warp the player to the Antiquated Bathhouse.
At the center of the maze is a red, rusty traincar that can be entered. Inside the traincar, it will appear dusk. This is the traincar that takes Urotsuki to Oblique Hell in Wooded Lakeside A as a one-way connection.
First-Person Maze
Upon entering from Critter Village, Urotsuki is placed in the First-Person Maze, an area reminiscent of Yume Nikki's Mini Hell with a ghost Urotsuki at the center. This area can also be entered via a manhole in Wooded Lakeside B by using the Fairy, Dice, or Grave effect to bypass the barrier. Walking into this ghost Urotsuki will change the player's perspective to first-person, making them navigate through the room while in this perspective to progress. Depending on where the player goes, they will end up on different sides of the ghost Urotsuki:
- A path leads to Critter Village.
- A path leads to the White Lily Path B of Glitched Butterfly Sector.
- A path leads to a manhole in Wooded Lakeside B.
- A path leads to an initially upside-down traincar, now traveling at night across a cityscape and boarded by several people. Falling asleep on the train is a one-way trip to Wooded Lakeside A.

Trivia
- The entire area somewhat resembles a human body, with the center northern section resembling a face, the middle western and eastern section resembling hands, and the middle southern section resembling a uterus. The Antiquated Bathhouse staircase is located on the cervix while the White Lily Path figure is located on the brain. The center, where the traincar is located, may also vaguely resemble a heart or stomach.
- The center also somewhat resembles a Henkei Shita from Yume Nikki, one of which is located in the game's Hell world, the area which Oblique Hell is based on.
- The moving blocks that act as connections are similar to the Nenrikido in Hell.
- Oblique Hell's map also contains a formation in the shape of some sort of shield figure wielding a staff, which is also referenced in Static Noise Hell, created by the same author. This figure originates from Yume Nikki's Hell maze.
- Upon its first implementation, the First-Person Maze originally used tiles from the main area, with lower saturation. Following the release of 0.120d patch 16, this was changed to an inverted version of the main area with black pathways and red shadows.
- This area previously had a section called the "Glitch Nexus." It contained a connection to the 3D Underworld, the First-Person Maze, and the main area of Oblique Hell, as well as a hat stand if the route through Home Within Nowhere was taken.
