Yume 2kki Sorted By Yume Nikki Worlds
Catalog of 2kki worlds based on what worlds from Yume Nikki they resemble or reference. Mostly just for fun. Loosely based off of the Yume 2kki:Yume Nikki page. Thanks to Oh0kaYthen86 and WikiOdd for the suggestions.
Galleries are sorted alphabetically with YN worlds first, then 2kki worlds second. Worlds currently without an image of their resemblance will have a placeholder instead.
Barracks Settlement
- Scorched Wasteland and Trophy Animal Land's Drum Folk Village contain desert settlements resembling Barracks Settlement.
- Bleeding Heads Garden contains a room with an NPC resembling the Seahorse Room and their respective room.
- Sculpture Park's Purple Forest Path contains several buildings with eyes that follow Urotsuki, similar to the Isees in the settlement's passage to Mural World.
Bleeding Heads Garden
(Petriphant room)
Block World
- Deep Red Wilds, Garden World, Radiant Ruins, Toy World, and Wooden Block World all feature isometric strucures reminicent of those in Block World.
- A notable specific similarity shared by several of these worlds is rows of pillars of various heights, which parallel a sequential row of pillars originally seen in the bottom south end of Block World.
- An interesting but likely coincidental shared feature is that all of them are angled towards the northeast, opposite of Block World's original northwest perspective.
Candle World
- Pudding World resembles Candle World, albeit with pudding instead of wax candles. Inhabiting the world are walking pudding NPCs that resemble the Walking Candles.
Checkered Tile Path
- Several areas are made up isometric tiled paths with a similar style to Checkered Tile Path.
- Notably, Closet Pinwheel Path is directly themed around closets similar to the one Closet Madotsuki is found in.
Closet Madotuski
- Closet Pinwheel Path has a running theme of closets similar to Closet Madotsuki's (as mentioned in the section above) and also has an isolated hidden area where a ghostly Urotsuki can be found chained with a collar.
- The Haunted Cabinet in Nostalgic House contains a decapitated woman hidden inside, vaguely similar to finding Closet Madotsuki in the closet.
- One of the rooms in Shadow Lady Estate has a wardrobe containing Urotsuki in a similar manner to Closet Madotsuki.
Dark World
- Dark Museum starts intially darkened and requires the Lantern effect to properly see, in a similar manner to Dark World.
- Obsidian Plains also similarly requires the lantern and has several drawings made up of floor tiles like Dark World does.
Dense Woods A
- Pansy Path and White Fern World have long paths that resemble Dense Woods A's Infinite Road with its Floyags.
- Marshmallow Shallows has a hidden room with a Floyag-like creature.
Dense Woods B & Witch's Island
- Several forest areas in Yume 2kki appear to be modeled after the tilesets of Dense Woods B and Witch's Island. Their specific style of treelines made of "frames" of trees bordering black space is paralleled by the majority of these areas.
Docks
- Yume 2kki's own Docks, Rice Field, and Streetlight Docks resemble Yume Nikki's Docks. Like the original, these areas all have anglular, maze-like pathways over water as their main theme and design.
- Forest Pier contains a Docks-like section with these elements as well.
- Streetlight Docks has a fishing NPC similar to the Docks' Fisherman.
- Nightfall Park has a small subsection resembling the Docks, which also contains a Strober-esque NPC. (see below section)
Strober
- The Flashing Trombonist in Baddies Bar, the NPC in Nightfall Park that unlocks System Sounds #5, and the Candyman in Sugar World's Sugary Depths are all stick figure NPCs that resemble Strober.
Eyeball World
- Broken Faces Area, Hand Fields, Sugar World's Sugary Depths, and Vomiting Mouths World are similar to Eyeball World, as they all have disembodied body parts littered throughout.
- Broken Faces Area and Vomiting Mouths World also have pairs of faces that directly parallel a specific set of faces in Eyeball World.
Severed Blue Head
- Abandoned Factory contains a strange face doorway that resembles an abstract version of the Severed Blue Head leading to Footprint Path.
- Flesh Paths World features cartoonish severed heads similar to the Severed Blue Head, all of which also act as doorways.
- Sugary Depths contains several enterable blob creatures in-between rigid arms, similar to the Severed Blue Head.
Face Carpet Plaza
- Sparkling Dimension A, the intial area of Clawtree Forest, and Wooded Lakeside B's Gnarled Tree Plaza all resemble Face Carpet Plaza.
- Notably, Gnarled Tree Plaza features Shimako wearing a big hat, who uncharacteristically chases down Urotsuki in the manner of a Shadow Lady. If she "catches" her, she'll put the hat on her head and run away, rather than trap her in a dead end. Her inclusion in this area puts her in a similar role to the Toriningen chaser that can be found in Face Carpet Plaza.
Famicom Worlds
FC Dungeon
FC Basement (To Monochrome Feudal Japan)
FC House & Basement
FC World A & B
Lizardman "text"
Monochrome GB World (Inaccessible room)
Concept
- While not visually similar to the FC Worlds, several other worlds in Yume 2kki share the concept of a retro game world with an artstyle shift with said worlds.
Forest World
Namekuji
- Clawtree Forest has an NPC that looks similar to the purple Namekuji.
- Obsidian Plains's world design contains a drawing of a Namekuji.

Goppa
- The Bloody Passage in Ahogeko's House has a dark room with a Goppa-like creature dipping its tail in a pool of water. Chainsawing the creature's tail will grant Menu Theme #38 and light up the room, revealing its huge pained expression.
- Foliage Estate also has a large Goppa styled creature, with a small bulb on its side that can be hit to make it open its mouth wide.
Ghost World
- Rainfall Ruins is very similar to Ghost World, as both are labyrinths of large angled stone blocks.
Graffiti World
- It's possible that Marijuana Goddess World was in-part inspired by the Graffiti World because of the different tiles that make noises when you step on them.
Guillotine World
- Acerola World is very conceptually similar to Guillotine World, as both are small looping areas housing an effect, several chasers, holes in the floor, and an ambiguous exit.
- Inside some of the lockers in Ocular Locker Room are small faces that make noise, similar to the Closet Creatures in Guillotine World.
Ocular Locker Room (Locker creatures)
Hell & Mini Hell
- Static Noise Hell, Oblique Hell, and 3D Underworld (which reuses the previous world's map turned upside down) contain a formation in the shape of some sort of shield figure wielding a staff, which directly originates from Yume Nikki's Hell maze.
- The crossroad where Urotsuki starts off in Static Noise Hell is reminiscent of Mini Hell, complete with a transparent Urotsuki standing in the center.
Lamp World
Madotsuki's Room
- By interacting with the yellow-tinted window in the Never-Ending Hallway, the Madotsuki's Room event begins, with the player being trapped for a period of time in a glitched out version of Madotsuki's Room before the screen completely fades to static.
The Second Nexus (???-tsuki's Room)

- Space contains several real photos of planets in a similar manner to Mars, including a playground on the Moon that shares a similar angle to the original.

- The Second Nexus is very reminiscent of Yume Nikki's Nexus, having a traditional layout made of doors.
- Thenexus.jpg
Effect Eggs
- The Child effect can be found in a large egg in Hourglass Desert's Pyramid Maze with Urotsuki's shirt pattern on it, similar to the effect eggs Madotsuki can drop in the Nexus.
- Several worlds by Wataru and noildoof contain large eggs that give Menu Themes and are similar to the effect eggs.
Pyramid Maze (Child Room)
Hidden Shoal (Menu Theme #8)
Snowy Village (Menu Theme #27)
